Recorder player and soprano Alice Boccafogli was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1983. Ms Boccafogli studied flute at the “G. B. Martini” Conservatorio in Bologna under Giorgio Zagnoni. She also studied recorder at the same institute with Giorgio Pacchioni and Daniele Salvatore. She graduated summa cum laude in March 2008. Alice specialises in both Contemporary & Early repertiore, working with the Prime Project in Lausanne (Switzerland), Antonio Politano, Siderum Pulvis Ensemble, Daniël Brüggen. Consort Mirabile (Founding Member), Soledad Brondino, Kevin Kim and Lisa Kortleitner. As recorder player she has taken part in many master classes with Daniël Brüggen, Lorenzo Cavasanti, Peter van Heygen, Sebastian Marq, John Tyson, Reine-Marie Verhagen and Dorothea Winter. She also performs as a vocalist. Ms Boccafogli has performed with many Italian Baroque ensembles, such as Bal’danza, Charivari and the Coro da Camera di Bologna. With the latter, Ms Boccafogli released two recordings: “Alleluja, Nativitas” in 2006, and “Terzo libro de’ madrigali a cinque voci di Camillo Cortellini” in 2009 (both with Tactus Records). Ms Boccafogli earlier trained as a professional vocalist under Michele Andalò and Kelly McClendon. Alice presently furthers her studies with Daniël Brüggen, and singing with baritone Vitali Rozynko and mezzo Elisa Fortunati. In June 2014, she graduated as Master in Music Pedagogy at the Royal Conservatiore in the Hague, with methodologies in Recorder and the Kodály method. As a specialist in the field, Alice teaches both the Early Childhood and Music Preparatory class for children 4-7 years at the Virtuosi School of Music in The Hague & Leiden. She is also available for group and individual instrumental lessons.

Born in the Netherlands of Caribbean parents (her mother from St Maarten & father Suriname), Jazz & Soul singer-songwriter Mischa Laikah released her debut album “Life. Music. Love” in 2012. Hardened by her upbringing between cultures, she previously pursued medicine before relenting to her life-long passion and entering the music industry in 2008. She has shared the stage with acts including Perfect, Eroz Ramazzotti, Mojo Morgan, Kindred the Family Soul, Orange Grove, and many more. Also an entertainer, she co-hosts the talk show ‘Girls ‘N Cocktails’, which explores contemporary issues impacting young women from fresh cultural perspectives. Describing herself as a ‘cheerful’ but ‘driven’ vocal coach, Mischu takes her pupil’s interests to heart to develop their interests, in their best interests, with meticulous care and attention – imparting her ‘tough cookie’ mentality when taking to the stage. In addition to training aspiring performance artists at Virtuosi, Mischu runs performance and master classes for all ages, including her own ‘Glee Club’ and ‘Pop Choir’. She joins the Virtuosi family as a welcome addition to our expanded curriculum, offering group and individual training by special appointment only.

Chantal Richardson, better known as Chanti, is a singer-songwriter from the island of Sint Maarten. Her music is a mix of R&B, Pop and Soul with a Caribbean influence. Rounding off her studies in Music and Entertainment Management, she now teaches singing and writes songs for various signed and unsigned international artists. She got her break out at 14 when she won the Sint Maarten Idol’s, followed by her first single which got over 80K streams on YouTube and was nominated for a Caribbean music award. With her mixed background of Danish and Caribbean, Chanti brings out a fusion of mixed genres making her music multidimensional. She has since shared the stage with artists like Acehood, Mischu Laikah, SBMG, Orange Grove and more. After releasing her single ‘Baila’ in 2018, she was able to open for Young Thug and perform at multiple events and festivals in The Netherlands. Chanti believes that helping students find their voice and who they really are is what her classes are all about. Dasha Skorokhodova was born into a musical family with deep pedigree; her mother a herself a vocal coach & father a trumpet player. Following eight years of classical piano studies in Ukraine, she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory as a Jazz Singer (class of Irina Tomaeva). In 2007 she entered The Hague Royal Conservatoire as a jazz singer where she studied with Rachel Gould, Hein van de Geyn, Manon Heine, Yvonne Smeets, Sanna van Vliet as well as Fay Claassen eternally for Dasha’s project “Baroque, Poetry & Jazz”. In 2011 her debute album “Quality Time” was released to critical acclaim from Dutch critics. Dasha subsequently received special invitation for concerts in Asia and Russia, and in addition to her own concert series throughout the Netherlands has performed at such festivals as: Holland Festival in Amsterdam, Amersfoort Jazz Festival, Breda Jazz Festival and the Zoetermeer Jazz Festival. In 2013 Dasha was a semi-finalist in the Nationaal Jazzvocalisten Concours in Zwolle, the Netherlands & In the same year recieved her Master’s degree from the Royal Conservatoire with a very special barok-jazz project. Dasha uses her talents not only as a singer but also as a composer, arranger and poet. Dasha has previously taught for the the Hague’s ‘Koorenhuis’ as well as the Dordrecht Music school in both group and 1-1 settings. http://www.dashajazz.com
